Adminstrative and Records Division The Administrative Division is responsible for all data entry, sexual offender registration, gun permits, concealed weapon permits, domestic violence orders, fingerprinting of criminal and non-criminal individuals. This division maintains the Inmate Trust Fund Account, the automatic phone tree program, submits press releases to radio and news media. They are also responsible for technologies within the Sheriff’s Office. The Administrative Division is responsible for the Amber Alert Program, Violent Death reporting procedures, and all mandated reporting procedures. The Records Division maintains incident and arrest reports, assist with information for Deputies, insurance companies and the public. This Division collects fees for  all civil papers and maintains processes civil data entry. The  Records Division works closely with the District Attorney’s Office to assist with Deputy court schedules. All Financial documentation for the Sheriffs Office is maintained within this division. All jury notices and summons are processed by the Records Division
Caswell County Sheriffs Office Adminstration
Sheriff Michael L Welch  mwelch@caswellcountync.com Sheriff Welch was elected to office in 2002. Since 1989 he has been serving this community and its surrounding areas. His current term places him as one of the  longest running Sheriffs in office within Caswell County history. Sheriff Welch graduated from Alamance Community College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He furthered his education by completing his Bachelor Degree from UNC - Charlotte. In December, 2013 Sheriff Welch graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Security with a Masters of Arts Degree in Security Studies. In 2006 Sheriff Welch was honored as the Alamance Community College Alumnist of the year. The Drug Enforcement Agency named Sheriff Welch as the D.A.R.E National Executive of the year in 2007.
Chief Deputy Scott Halbrook   shalbrook@caswellcountync.gov Chief Halbrook has been serving the Caswell County Sheriffs Office since 1992.  Chief Halbrook oversees the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office. All pertinent information regarding the Sheriffs Office is disseminated and processed through him, except for activities strictly reserved for the Sheriff.  Chief Halbrook obtained his Advanced Law Enforcement Certification in March of 2012.
Captain Michael Adkins     madkins@caswellcountync.gov Captain Adkins has been serving the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office since 1995. Captain Adkins is responsible for all of the Patrol Operations, School Resource Operations, Deputy training, and employing personnel for the Sheriffs Office. Captain Adkins is the current NC D.A.R.E State Coordinator. Captain Adkins obtained his Advanced Law Enforcement Certification in December of 2007
Captain Tony Durden            tdurden@caswellcountync.gov Captain Durden has been serving the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office since 1997. Captain Durden is responsible for the Detention Center, as well as the Civil and Bailiff Divisions. Captain Durden Graduated from Piedmont Community College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Captain Durden received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate in April 2014.
Captain Frank Rose   frose@caswellcountync.gov Captain Rose has been serving the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office since 1997. Captain Rose is responsible for the entire Investigative Division, including the Narcotics Division and Evidence. The Sheriffs Office K9 Division is overseen by Captain Rose. Captain Rose obtained his Advanced Law Enforcement Certification in June of 2012.
