In August 2011, with the raising of the Caswell County Law Enforcement Center, an era ended. The Caswell County Detention facility transferred its operation from the outdated and run down jail, to a modern house of detention. The new facility represents the most progressive design consistent with correctional standards and practices to date. The newly named Caswell County Law Enforcement Center was constructed at a cost of  approximately 8.5 million dollars.  The construction of this facility boosted an increase of employment opportunities to the county. Highly trained and skilled personnel were sought after and employed to embark on this turning point for the community. All personnel are responsible for the security, safety, nutrition, medical treatment, and social service needs of the inmates.
