Pistol Purchase Permit- Application Process Please read each document carefully and thoroughly Please return completed application to the Sheriff’s Office main lobby. Excluding holidays, applications are accepted Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30pm.  A notary is available when turning the forms in at the main lobby. Do Not sign any of the forms until you are in front of a notary. Pistol Permits are $5.00 each; there is no limit on the amount of permits that may be purchased. Once the application is submitted, it is the applicant’s responsibility to check back in 5 business days to see if the application has been approved. Upon approval, the non-refundable fee of $5.00 (per permit) must be paid in cash when picking up permit(s). Permits must be picked up within 30 days of application submission or application will expire. You must print both forms below off and then follow these steps: 1. Main Application (Page 1) Fill out entire page 2. Main Application (Page 2) Fill out top portion ONLY. 3. Main Application Supplementary Questions- Follow instructions on page. 4. Release of Court orders concerning mental health ad capacity form-Fill out top portion of page ONLY.
